My art quilts are all heavily influenced by my background as a painter. I use strips of colored fabric, sewn on a background as I would if I was using brushstrokes to create movement in forms-that would otherwise be static. Solid areas of manipulated and embellished fabric are also used as focus in a composition.
Color and line are the elements explored in this current series of quilts, but each is unique in its inspiration, interpretation and process. It is an endless adventure.
